5 Days Tour Fez Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Azrou – Midalet – Errachidia – Ziz Valley Erfoud – Merzouga (440 km)

After lunch we go to Merzouga passing by Ifran which is known as the Switzerland of Morocco; then we pass by Azrou the city famous for its green tiled roofs and beautiful cedar forests which are considered as the natural habitat of the monkeys. Then we will go to Midelt, where you can enjoy lunch.
We will continue our journey through the mountains of the Middle Atlas to meet the nomads who live there. In the southeast near the town of Errachidia enjoy the high cliffs of the Valley of Ziz, surrounded by palm trees. At the next stop, Erfoud, you will have the opportunity to visit a marble industry filled with a variety of decorations. After that we’ll go to the final stop of the day, Merzouga. There we will spend the night with dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Tamrdanite – Khamlia Hassi El Bied

In the morning, after breakfast begins the excursion from the hotel that will take you through the sand dunes near the border with Algeria where you can take the opportunity to take photos and see the rock formation volcanic black, you can also visit nomadic families and see their nomadic lifestyle. Then we passed close to small Berber villages like Tamrdanite before reaching Khamlia, a small village. There you can enjoy the spiritual music of Gnawa, played by the black Berbers. On our way to the hotel you will enjoy the view of Lake Ait Sareji (especially in spring) which attracts flamingos and many other birds. Then we returned to the hotel to rest and prepare for an adventure (camel ride) in the heart of the desert. Rumbo al Bivac, you will see the spectacular sunset of the dune. You will savor the Berber food, listening to the drums on a starry night and sleeping in a traditional tent (Haima) in the desert. In the morning, we will wake up early to see the sunrise before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinjdad – Todra Gorges – Dades Boumalene

Following our way to Rissani through the Ksours and Kasbahs of Tafilalet. There we visit the Zaouia of Moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the founder of the Alaoui dynasty. We took a walk to get to know the local market and the traditional souks in Rissani. Then we will go to Tinghir passing by Arfoud and Tinjdad, where we will have lunch. Then we continue to Tinghir, where you can walk among the magnificent oasis of palm trees. You will spend the night in a Kasbah, which includes dinner and breakfast.

Day 4: Boumalne Du Dades – Kelaa M’gouna – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi N’Tichka – Marrakech

Breakfast at the hotel, we continue our journey towards the gorges of Dades, one of the most beautiful and impressive canyons of Morocco. This is what makes them a serious place to do the full day trekking for serious rock climbers. Then we pass through the Valley of the Roses, where the locals make different products of Persian rose. Then we will go to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt and at the Atlas film studios. Afterwards, we will visit the Universal Heritage of Ait Ben Haddou as it has been nominated by UNESCO in 1987. This Berber Kasbahs which has been used as a very important destination for international filmmakers for over 20 films, was also one of the most important stronghold bastions on the ancient salt route where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory, salt and silk from the sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech and stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the village. We will go to Marrakesh on the High Atlas mountains that pass through the port of Tizi N’Tichka (2,260 m altitude). then we go to Marrakech.

Day 5: Marrakech

After breakfast you will have a full day excursion to discover Marrakech. To immerse yourself in the red city and lunch in the Medina, you will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech such as the 19th century Bay Palace, the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Garden. We will also visit the famous souks where merchants sell everything from leather, carpets, fabrics, to spices, caftans.
